MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli spearheaded an online event on Sunday with the aim of raising funds to provide food to poor families during the COVID-19 lockdown.
To pull this off, the actor collaborated with Landers Superstore, the Philippine Army and many of his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Dubbed “One Voice Pilipinas,” the online event featured performances by Kean Cipriano, Gian Magdangal, Jed Madela, Jason Dy, Kyle Echarri and Joey Generoso among others.
Guidicelli’s wife Sarah Geronimo also made a special appearance when she joined singer Janine Tenoso for a duet of the worship song “Oceans.”
Other celebrities who expressed their thoughts about the current situation in the country also dropped by including Judy Ann Santos, Jericho Rosales, Kylie Verzosa and Nico Bolzico, among others.
At the end of the streaming, Guidicelli and Cipriano announced that they were able to raise more than P4 million in five hours.
Teasing they will be holding more events like this in the coming days, Guidicelli said he is hoping to have more Kapamilya stars onboard including Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
